All cooperative farmers Association (ACFA) Was founded in may 2013 and her intent is to bring together all cooperative farmers in the state. In this wise, the founder and pioneers of this organization designed a program TAGGED “WE WILL SET UP OUR FARM”
After consulting with the appropriate ministries for
recognition, a collective farm project was commerce by the state organized
farmers and the farm was called ACFA cooperative farm
All cooperative societies affiliated to the Association are
partners in this business. Although it was the Association's intention to immediately
commerce the cultivation of the 100 acres target for 2014 farming season, but professional advise
recommend that the All Cooperative farmers Association management should work on a
demonstration farm which will help them to identify errors and put a correction
to it before commencing on the actual farming project.
This Farmer cooperatives farm program has been designed to be completely owned and controlled by farmers themselves, ranchers or growers.
It is ascertained that Through their cooperatives, all farmers connected to ACFA are going to be empowered. Either financially or through seed supply/others.
How Farmers Will Benefit
When a farmer joins a cooperative, they benefit through earnings returned on a patronage basis. For example, a farmer-member who accounts for 10 percent of the volume of produce delivered to the cooperative would receive 10 percent of the net earnings derived from the handling, processing, marketing and sale of that produce or related products. Such patronage dividends help boost the income of farmers directly or by reducing the effective cost of the goods and services provided.
